Redevelopment, Oversight Board Governance and Affordable Housing

In the wake of ABX1 26 and AB 1484, cities are finding themselves in unchartered territory with respect to the future of redevelopment. On a daily basis, Jamie and Bianca are guiding public agencies in the post redevelopment world. Casso & Sparks has been engaged by the cities of Buellton, Goleta and Lompoc, along with the County of Riverside, to serve as general counsel for their respective oversight boards. In addition, we are currently representing the King City Successor Agency in litigation against the State of California over the reallocation of low and moderate income housing funds.

The firm also counsels clients on all matters related to affordable housing projects including the drafting of covenants and financing agreements.
